Are we finally starting to turn the tide?

A few days ago Iowa’s supreme court effectively legalized gay marriage and thanks to Mike Gronstal their senate failed to amend the state constitution to ban gay marriage.
And today, Vermont’s senate overturned the governor’s veto — with a rather impressive majority vote — of a gay marriage bill.
Is America collectively coming to its senses after the disappointment of November’s election results in regards to gay marriage?
It feels like we’re finally really starting to win some of the fights. How many more battles will we fight?
